Every thirty three minutes, another reminder, like a slow heartbeat. Cancer. Terminal. Cancer. And every time, she has to fight the urge to curl up in a ball and give in. Just stop.

I love the moment about the stars losing their beauty - and this is just the beginning, poor kids.
Yeah, I can imagine that the sight of the stars and the universe would lose their attraction very quickly when you know that might be all you ever see again. No green, no blue sky - just blackness and tiny points of light forever and ever.
