This looks good to me. I kind of did a similar thing for a story I've been working on. I came up with some slightly different results, but we know so few hard facts so it's all open which is really kind of fun.
The only thing that gives me pause is when exactly Laura met Adar. The series bible (can be found on battlestarwiki) mentions that she came to the attention of Mayor Adar when she received her Teacher of the Year award. However in the miniseries, Laura made a comment to Lee about knowing all of the people before her in the line of succession. She mentions that most of them were carry overs from Adar's first term as President and that a few came with him all the way from the mayor's office. She then says something to the effect that she had been with him on his first campaign. To me the order in which she phrased things meant she was with him on his first campaign for mayor.
I personally think there was something going on between Laura/Adar at the time of her phone call with Marcy in Daybreak I - though I don't necessarily think it was a full blown affair yet. The way Laura was so resistant to joining the campaign ... it just struck me as a little odd. I think Laura realized that there was a great likelihood that something would happen if she continued to work with Richard.
Interesting thoughts. I'll have to have a think about that.
I think I prefer the series bible way of looking at it, as in Adar brought her in once he was already mayor. I feel otherwise she might have been in politics too long, and I like the idea of Laura as a teacher enough to want her to have done that for a fairly significant period of time.
The Laura/Adar relationship is, like I said, the bit that I'm most unsure about. Which is annoying as it's kind of important to what I'm trying to work out. You may be right about there being something there. I'd suspect that there wasn't an actual affair there, but maybe some kind of attraction, at least. I'll have a think :)
