I haven't updated this in ages! I just remembered I had one the other day when I saw my friend blogging at the LIBRARY (wow, someone more unproductive than me!) and I was like hmm, that looks kind of familiar.

My life is pretty hectic right now, which is why I haven't been back to post in months. I have three finals, two projects and a paper due within the next two weeks, none of which I've begun preparing for! University life is fabulous.

It's pretty rainy and foggy outside today, and I've found that the weather is almost directly correlated with my mood. I've been feeling kind of out of it lately, and I'm nervous because I'm going home soon and I haven't been home in months! I'm trying to frantically find time to hit the gym and study for finals because I think I've gained another good 5lb in the last semester. Stupid college food, 2am study snacks and sleeping in til noon. My friends back home are pretty stereotypical and I'm sure the first thing I hear will be "Omigosh! You look much... FULLER!" It's funny because I never thought about my weight much in high school, and I maintained a pretty good figure through my mom's fanatical health freak habits: her idea of dessert was a peeled orange (asian parents!) and I had never seen soda or fruit juices in my house. In my life.

But yeah, after coming to university and the dreaded freshman 15 last year, I'm trying to work out a few times a week and watch what I eat! Sometimes being an asian female SUCKS because all the other asian females are probably 5'2 and 90lbs (aka my roommate). When I visited Shanghai a few years ago, I was shocked because I was a size L/XL over there, when I'm an XS/S here LOL! It was quite a culture shock - all girls in China probably have legs the width of my arm, no boobs, no ass, no hips. I'm taller than the average asian girl so I feel like that gives me some leeway in terms of weight, but it still kind of sucks that we are stereotyped so easily. It doesn't help that my grandma sees me every few months, smacks my butt and goes "Aiya! You gain weight in your butt again! I give your brother your portion of pork tonight!"

THIS is missing from my life right now. Please return if found. :( I was shopping aimlessly the previous weekend and I was browsing the aisles, and suddenly I realized my phone (my life!!) was not on my person. After running and retracing my route about a hundred times, I realized it was lost forever. What is ESPECIALLY weird is I texted my phone with my roommate's phone, and my phone has the tendency to accidentally call the last texter when thrown in a bag. SO IT CALLS MY ROOMMATE'S CELL, but I only hear background noise and lots of rustling. Conclusion: Someone stole it and ran away from me :(

The upside is I feel very free of electronic gadgets. The downside is I am those people that feel naked without their cellphone. I have been contemplating which new phone to buy, and I've come to these:

samsung behold in rose

vs.

lg cookie in pink

I do have a thing for pink. But I can't decide! The samsung has a sleeker design and alot more features. But the LG is just so adorable in the way you can customize the interface (with sticky notes! just like my laptop! *fangirl*)

asians, food, school, weather, phones, rain
