Surfacing, birthdays and Interviews

Ok, connection, stay with me this time, as I hadn't yet saved the other darn entry. *grrrr* Heh.
Boy, I miss LJ. I do read a bit every day, but maybe, I get to skip 25 or skip 100 on a good morning, during my coffee, before I dig in for my own day. So, I've caught some of the up and down highlights of people's lives here and there.
And dolimir_k and I do fill each other in on stuff we think the other will miss.

And to everyone who made it through the WiP It Good challenge, CONGRATS to all of you, whether your team won or not. I am REALLY looking forward to all the reading I will get to sink my teeth into. :D
And can anyone hook me up with the footage of Mike all bare-chested from that sports show? I forgot who was doing the copies.

I owe responses like... woah! I am still slowly answering people from the past, now four months. Thank you again.
LJ reading is trickier. I pick one person and catch up on their day to day life and fic and then they get a flurry of comments from me because I am so taken with all I missed or what I just found. And each of those folk are still not caught up to. *sigh*
I should face the fact that I am never going to catch up, shouldn't I?
However, I missed you all! *pout* *g*
Birthdays completely fell by the wayside. I'm sorry, folks. You know I adore so many of you and I know your birthdays were at least, if not perfect, made way more fun by our overlapping flists. I hope all of you are having a great year.
At least today, I am on time for one sweetie pie!

I knew you were a great person before we met, but having now met you, I know that was just an understatement. You are sweet, silly, intelligent, full of fun and one of the most generous souls it has been my honor to know. LJ seems to attract folk just like you, I see. And I feel very, very lucky to have met you.
I hope your day and night is lovely and filled with all you want now and in the coming year. And add in some nekkie Mike too!
Also, air conditioning would be good for you today. *g* I still can't believe you survived the 112 degree heat of attending Lollapalooza. Be careful, sweetie!
On the job front, I evidently interviewed very well at K's, (Dolimir's) company, but the office manager, despite promising to call me back and to also forward my resume to the other departments I am suited for, did no such thing. I am a tad disappointed, as is K.
The funny thing is that K makes a point of casually mentioning me in talking (just generally about our day to day life) and is enjoying watching the manager squirm over her guilty conscience. Heh.
Still, the reasoning for the not returned call back seems to be that the manager doesn't want to upset her 'princess' - ie; one of her personal assistants, (yep, she is actually called this in the office) and thinks that my go get-iveness would upset her despite my and K stressing it's no problem and that I play well with others.
Fine, so no working with the office manager and her staff. But what of the referring me to the other departments? In one of our calls (that I initiated), she told me, 'Oh, I haven't even looked into that yet.'

Oooookay.
K delicately took the bull by the horns and has been working, in a subtle way, to get me in to see the accounting people and managed this amazing feat, totally bypassing my obstructing dead end. *g*
Yesterday, I interviewed with both the CFO and the controller/manager of accounting and also one of the people I would be replacing (*if* I get the position!) when he gets his re-call up from the National Guard.
All three men seemed to like me very well and I answered the tech aspects of the accounting questions of my past jobs fine and had good questions for them in return.
K, so far, has heard good things of me and is checking for more info today. Hopefully, per the interviews, I am supposed to hear from them fairly quickly.
My previous meeting with the office manager was never brought up, nor did I mention it.
In the meantime, I am preparing for another doll show which I will be selling at next weekend. So, many fingers, toes, arms, legs, and eyes *ahem* are crossed. Any good vibes y'all can send will be appreciated.
I have been incredibly lucky. So many of you have been there for me. Still, there are people I need to pay back as well and I'd like to do it SOON!!!
I do have faith I will be employed soon. I just rather that it be sooner than later. *g*
