Be careful what you wish for...
I finally saw Coraline (which is well worth seeing in 3-D), and on top of other things, it's got me feeling inspired.
Since I've been struggling to write about Zarnak and company again, I've realized that I'd rather work on something in a more modern (although secretly fantastical) setting. I just can't get into Usaria right now, although I'm finding Zarnak's daughter particularly interesting at the moment.
I'd really like to work on "D. in Redrock" with Val, but, for all that we've hashed out pretty much the whole plot (and even most of the dialogue), we've gotten very little written, and she's too busy to correspond story-bits, so I'm thinking about throwing a character into a side-story set in the same alternate reality and timeframe as "D." And I want to borrow the fabulous D. as well. And the Chessboard from the Allalies project.
