Cute. Sakuraiba was my first OTP, before I found Aiba/Jun and Sakumoto....Hells, I don't think I have an OTP anymore.
I like how calm this whole piece is. I want to go have a bath with aromatherapy candles. Pity it's 8am Monday and I'm stuck at work *sigh*

for a second there I thought you had spelled Matsumoto Jun wrong because his name (I'm pretty sure) doesn't begin with an A... but then I realized that this isn't Sakumoto it's Sakuraiba... crazy.

Sakuraiba we're actually my original OTP but only for a really short while, one day or two, and then I found the other angsty side more appealing.

But Sakuraiba is always nice and happy. I like you're Aiba he's not too hyper but still all fluffy and cuddly.

I hope there actually was someone there to look after Sho when he got off the plane he looked so tired in the fan shots from the airport.

I had to actually make a Sakurai Sho/Aiba Masaki tag since I'd never written it before! It *is* crazy!! I love them as BFF's so much that I haven't been able to write them as more before.

Aiba in real life is probably not as ridiculous as his tv persona would have you believe :)

I love them as BFFs and it's such a nice and natural friendship that I never wanted to push for it to be more. I always thought them just being great friends was enough for me... like I said it was a very short lived OTP.

Plus from a fic point of view their perfect for the lovely cuticle moment stories but you'd be hard pushed to any wonderful Sakumoto-style tension between them for a narrative - or maybe that's just my thinking.

I think the same. I love how their friendship shows, especially in interviews where they talk about buying clothes together and such. Awww, I want them to help me pick stuff out too!

The only tension or angst you could get out of Sakuraiba that didn't involve one of them getting raped or knocked up or amnesia'd (all too common, it seems) would be when Aiba was in the hospital or when Sho was younger and crankier (justifiably - boy was overworked)
