Yeah, the D30 was really nice, I can't remember why my friend even had it!

I had a good group that I met through the RPG society when I started uni but I fell out with them and I never really had as much fun playing with anyone else. It really is a long term investment. There is so much drama as well.

I never got to play Ars Magica although I thought it was intriguing; I never really GMed a game either so I was at the mercy of whoever wanted to GM. Luckily we had a talented one and a few good ones. I played D&D, lots of the White Wolf stuff (Vampire, Werewolf, Changeling, Mummy, Exalted), Call of Cthulu, Star Wars (I think we did the original and the D20 version), Runequest, Deadlands, dabbled in Big Eyes Small Mouth (anime style games), In Nomine (which I *loved*) a few original stuff by the talented GM using GURPS rules with characters like superheros, psychics, and more.

Thinking about it, I did a hell of a lot of gaming. It and my group were nearly my whole life for five years, and now all that's left is that I know a lot of in-jokes and stuff that most people don't. Ha.

I've been getting into board games like the Battlestar Galatica board game which is fun, but not the same thing as creating characters out of the ether. I suspect it's similar to what writers go through. I would love to be a writer, but I need to write more for that!
