It's a D3 :-) If you need a D2, you might just as well toss a coin ;-)
I agree that the true treasure isn't in the dungeon but on the table. I have a few other rarities, like a weird-shaped D10, and a round D6 (more common), and two transparent dice that I like very much:
Here's another pix with the rest of my collection:
I had a crystal cut D6 a bit like the D10 you have, which is very pretty, and a D30 bequeathed by another friend.
I do sometimes miss playing, which is more important than the dice but... I never really found a good group after I left mine. I doubt I could be bothered to try and put in the effort to find one now. I *do* miss the sense of wonder and achievement... but I doubt I could replicate that with the gaming now.
A D30? Wow! Never seen one. Treasures, treasures... :-)
I agree that a good group is precious. I had one when I was living in Paris, many years ago. After that, each time I tried to play, I never really succeeded to find the same enthrallment. I tried to initiate new players, but it's a long time investment and you never know if they'll like it and stay, in the end.
What games did you play? I was an avid Ars Magica player.
