This fic I've been hashing out
In the last few weeks, while sharing my ongoing story Off the Grid with a friend, the subject of smut or porn writing came up. I shied away from it and was like, "I could never. It would be too corny." And she said I should try. So I came up with this TERRIBLE plot where Stiles' best friend Laura had just died of cancer and on the way to the funeral, he hooks up with someone in his emotional distress--and it turns out to be her brother. Really freaking sad, though. So much angst. So I discussed it with my wonderful beta, cruixe_chan, and we came up with a much fluffier (still some angst) version of events, and the results are thus:
Barking Up the Right Tree, a Derek/Stiles AU in which Stiles plans to survive parading around Beacon Hills as his best friend's fiance for the sake of her career and family. What he doesn't plan on, is a heated night spent with a handsome stranger, and the fallout events when that stranger turns out to be someone quite unexpected.
Rating: Explicit, for lots of detailed sex, cursing, and terribly awkward situations
