Part of the problem for the Democrats is the issue of branding and discourse. Republicans have a dominant grip on them, and consequently, Republicans are the party of "values," the "pro-life" party, against "partial-birth" abortion. When you dominate the terms of the discourse and how things are defined, you tend to be in good shape.

Oliver Willis had a great idea - spread the message and the brand of the Democratic party using the success of Firefox as an example. And he came up with the Brand Democrat campaign - a campaign to enhance the image of the Democratic Party, not by bashing Republicans, but by celebrating the accomplishments of the Democrats and our issues. Imagine that - Democrats standing for something.

So he created these images, the rest of which you can view in the link, that celebrate what it is and what it means to be Democratic.



The campaign has expanded, and I thought I'd chip in as well. What's a better tool to advertise you and your beliefs than a signature on a message board?
