Tornado sends car through hotel window

Last night I dreamt I was on the 31st floor of a high-rise hotel in Raleigh when I looked out the window and saw a funnel cloud a couple of blocks away. In the few seconds it took me to pull my phone out and start recording video, it had touched down and turned into a fully formed tornado. There were large pieces of debris swirling around outside the window. I looked up from the phone screen just in time to see that two cars were airborne. One of them (an SUV, I think) flew through the window and landed on the bed, only missing my laptop by about three feet. I couldn’t tell if the tornado was coming this way, but I wanted to salvage what I could. I grabbed my laptop but left the cords behind, and I think I grabbed one other thing (I don’t remember what) before running into the hallway. There were two other guests out there. One was a man, and I don’t remember anything about the other one. We were debating on whether to risk using the elevators, since there was no way we were going to make it down 31 flights of stairs before the tornado got here (if it was coming this way). We started down the stairs but decided it would be best to just head to the center of the floor we were on. After a couple of minutes passed and nothing happened, we decided the tornado had probably moved on, and we went back to my room. I was watching the video I had recorded of the car flying through the window, but I had recorded in some weird mode where it had uploaded itself directly to a cloud site and reduced the quality to 4:3 standard definition or possibly even 240p. I was somewhat disappointed, but you could still tell what was going on in the video. I thought the video might go viral if I posted it, due to me screaming like an idiot when the car flew through the window. I thought about texting it to my mom, but I knew she was going to have questions, and I didn’t want her blowing up my phone while I was trying to search the room to see if anything was missing.

I think tornados may have been mentioned on the nightly news last night, but I’m not sure where the other elements of the dream may have come from.
