Pizza Plus sells pot-laced pizzas and shakes; Searching the rubble of Cade's destroyed apartment

Last night I dreamt that I was driving to Abingdon from Mississippi. It was dark when I got to Abingdon, and I stopped Pizza Plus when I got into town. I had pre-ordered a pizza, but something was wrong with it (they had either messed it up or it had gotten cold), and they offered to make me another one and give me the bad one for free. I noticed that they offered pizzas topped with medical marijuana (ground up and sprinkled on like oregano), so I ordered one. I asked the girl working the counter how they could get away with that in Virginia, and she said they had a special representative called a “Shroom Groom” who made it legal. They also offered pot-laced shakes, so I ordered one of those as well. I took them home, but didn’t get around to eating them before the dream ended.

I also dreamt that Cade and I went back to his apartment that had been destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. The rubble hadn’t been disturbed since the storm, and we were trying to find his bike. The outside of the apartment was covered in rubble, but the interior frame was still standing. We cleared out a small hole at the top of the pile, and I went in first. It was dark and dingy, but I noticed that the wallpaper was the same as Brian’s wallpaper at our old house in Foxfire (green jungle wallpaper). Upon further inspection, I realized this room of the apartment was Brian’s old room, and it had a cabinet full of Beanie Babies and stuffed animals that we had misplaced a long time ago. I went into the kitchen of the apartment and saw Cade’s bike in the middle of the floor near the stove. The tires were flat and the front wheel was bent. I hollered up to him that I found his bike and that it was unsalvageable. He came into the apartment, and I started showing him the stuffed animals and explaining that they used to be in my house.

old house, cade
