she said what now?

I'm leaving for the hospital in about 5 and a half hours (6:30 am, yes I know how ridiculous that is). And my surgery is I think at 9. So I will update sometime later just to let you all know that I haven't died.

I was 4 hours late for work today. Why? Was I sick? Injured? Otherwise incapacitated? Of course not. I just refused to get out of bed. My alarm went off and something in my brain said 'no' and that was that. I used the excuse that my alarm never went off and it was totally cool. To be fair I didn't actually have to do anything specific until 2 anyway. So at 2 I was supposed to go to this elementary school to supervise my first high school/elementary school teaching activity thing. The older kids were supposed to meet us there to break into groups and teach the little kids this hour long lesson on plants, but they never showed up. So I and this one other volunteer had to deal with this huge group of 8 year olds by ourselves. And I give us mad props because I think we pulled it off pretty damn well. There were no teachers there either, just a bunch of student interns from Towson who had no idea what was going on.

I missed my wednesday night class for the second time in a row tonight because I didn't do the huge project that was due today. But I'm incredibly behind in that class so I'm hoping that if I do all the late stuff and give it to her all at once she'll hate me less and be more inclined not to fail me. That's the game plan anyway.

Now the question: should I sleep for 5 hours or just stay up since I'm not really that tired? Hmm, guess I'll find out. Stay tuned...
