Flashback 5: Literature Event Entry 2: Truth & Lies

Once, there was an Angel of Knowledge
With the Angel of Wisdom, he bore two children
The Angel of Lies and the Angel of Truth
The Angel of Lies always tells lies
While the Angel of Truth always tells the truth…
One day, Heaven was sick of the Angel of Lies’s lies
And so, Heaven made a deal…
Both of them shall guard the door to Heaven and Hell
Lost souls shall come,
and they will be able to ask the Angels one question
to determine which door leads to Heaven…
and which door leads to Hell
One question only…
The Angels’ answers will decide the fate of the souls
The Angel of Lies shall trick this souls
into going to Hell
with his Lies
If even just once,
he was unable to guide the soul to Hell,
he shall be eternally punished
Now, many souls have come to them,
but all of them were led to Hell by the Angel of Lies’s lies
The Angel of Truth was saddened by this,
but could do nothing
Until a soul came…
points at a door…
and ask the two…
“What do you think the other Angel will say if I ask him
if this door leads to Heaven or not?”
One Angel answered, “Yes”
the other answered, “No”
With that answer, the lost soul was able to go to Heaven
The Angel of Lies was puzzled by this
“How could someone see through my lies?”
“He didn’t,” the Angel of Truth said, “but he was able to make your lies ineffective.”
Now a deal is a deal…
And once the door to Heaven was fully closed,
the Angel of Lies’s mouth was sewn tight.
He couldn’t lie anymore…
He couldn’t even make a sound…
He was…
never to speak again…
