the end of the festival
with the end of may come sthe end of the Brighton festival. I got to go to a few events , but not nearly as many as I would have liked. Oh well, too much work and studying to do. I saw a really great stand up comedy act ( thank you Bert for the free ticket!). the first live comedy i have ever seen. I really enjoyed it! The comedians name was chris addison and he mostly focused on british society- so I didnt get all the jokes! It was a good time. The past few weekends the streets of Brighton have been overtaken by street performers from all over the world. Some of the most bizarre and creative acts just walking around the streets. Too bad the weather wasnt that great . Loads of poeple came down to brighton each weekend, it was hard to just walk across the street! Finally I expereinced the Lady Boys of bangkok- a transvestite caberet. Amazing!! www.ladyboysofbangkok.co.uk IT was too hilarious- groups of transvestite singers with back up dancers. There bodies were just fantastic. Not only were they beautiful but funny as well- they would bring up the most akward british guy on stage and make him dance while they molested him. So funny. All in all a good time. There were loads of other concerts, shows and activities...If I am here next year I hope to take part in more events.
