Also, yesterday:
Sarah, from the backseat: "So, Mom. Your eardrum is a very thin piece of skin in your ear and sound is vibrations and they bounce off your eardrum and go to your brain and that's how you hear."
Me: "That's right! Where did you learn that?"
Sarah, shiftily: "Around."
Me: "No, really, where?"
Sarah, still with the side-eye: "Oh, you know. Around."
