(no subject)
I haven't been able to talk about this even though I've known about it for a couple of months, because it wasn't approved/announced yet, but now it is so I can.
I got a promotion, and I went from Engineer to Manager, with five direct reports. It's a big step up, and I got a raise. So, yay me.
Also, we picked up the keys for the house. We took Sarah over to see it and when she ran into the backyard and said "A little park? Just for me?" and then ran around waving her arms and laughing, I knew we did the right thing. The movers come on Sunday.
So, life is good. We won't be going nuts with the Christmas presents, because moving doesn't leave one with a ton of disposable income, but, hey. We got the important things covered, right? The rest is just stuff.
