kunin pabalik ang araw ng linggo!
i got the new album of taking back sunday "where you want to be" in the palm of my hands, thanks to my friend alvin who burned me an advance copy who got it from our friend marian... life is sweet. meron pa ko ngayong t-shirt ng TBS courtesy of rogel which i traded my grade shirt for it(band shirt swapping is rad).
the new TBS cd is good but i didn't get the same reaction when i first listened to the first one. pero masyado lang siguro akong nagexpect ng malaki since their debut album became an instant classic kaya mahirap pantayan. siyempre nawala din kasi yung chief songwriter/guitarist na si john nolan & bassist shaun cooper, instead of going in a more progressive direction they had to retain TBS's identity with the addition of the new members ( vocalist/guitarist of breaking pangeae & the former bassist of lauryn hill's backing band)... pero yun lang ang pananaw ko. naging excited pa naman ako sa magiging tunog ng TBS pero parang part 2 lang ng 1st album nila parang b-sides ang kinalabasan but who knows it might grow on me.
my rating system:
3 = whoa!
2 = yeah!
1 = boo!
0 = *fart*
"where you want to be" = yeah!
(unlike sa "tell all your friends" = whoa!)
oh well they still rock.
