Helloooo, everyone! i've decided kick it up a notch and stop sitting around just reading lj's and start writing in my ooown a little bit! woohoo
This weekend has been good times. Friday night i went to the ARTWALK!! by.the.waaaayy.. if you've never ever been before, you'll hafta wait till next year, but GO!! it is soo sooo much fun.
especially if you like watching people... or just meeting interesting people that you probably wouldn't meet on the other side of the mountain.
Well, you might be sayin'.. artwalk?? what the heck? well, it's a bit of a festival...it's downtown in the loft area near Morris Avenue and 1st Ave. North. people let artists set up all their work in different businesses and lofts for the weekend, and you just go from door to door and see the art! usually, the artwalk is a great place to find free food and live music. this year was no exception.
there was this completely random lady in the street twirling a baton with fire on the ends of it. yeah... that was definatly a show to watch. after the baton, she got these two swords that were on fire and started slinging them around. hahaha it reminded me a little bit of a girl version of Kip.
One of the buildings had artwork of A.S.F.A students displayed in it... amazing work.
i couldn't believe that people my own age had created all of that.
on the way home from downtown, i saw that the Wendy's near homewood was on fire and smoke was coming out of it and tons of firetrucks were there.. i think the whole inside burned down, but the outside building is o.k.
So, that was friday night.
Saturday i went back downtown with Amy Barret and we walked around for awhile.
i ran into my friend Sam because his Bag-pipe group was performing down there Saturday.
... I think he might have been a little embarassed since he was wearing a kilt and all.
i hope all of you have an amazing Sunday.
who else is counting down until the 21st?? (release date for the DAVID CROWDER BAND's new CD!!)
i will leave you with this:
Psalm 103:8
"The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in LOVE."
