my rec: this is just hilarious and great, and poor Ultra Magnus is clearly in for a confusing and difficult time. (Also I totally see pre-Megatron/Optimus in this story. ;) Also read her other TF stories, they are super fun; where we had thought to find is actually an AU of And I Alone Have Escaped To Tell You. :D
The Field Ballad (1809 words) by AltraViolet
TF: IDW G1, Megatron/Rodimus
my rec: okay so tbh I am not into IDW's Autobot Megatron at all, or the entire Lost Light concept at all for that matter, but this story is great! I love the whole concept of the field ballad and even if Autobot Megatron is not Megatron, he is an interesting character and I love Rodimus and their interaction in this too.

my rec: OK so I have to preface this by saying that I have massive problems with the TF:Prime backstory (which is either completely out of control of its own politics or deliberately ultra-right-wing or BOTH), so essentially what I am always looking for in a TFP story is anything that fixes that, and this story did just that! \o/
