I have been reading heaps of other great stories too, in my usual haphazard fandom-browsing way -- I've been making recs via bookmarks on AO3 and xposting them to the yuletide_recs collection (which you should too! plus it automatically reblogs to the yulerecs tumblr. I really enjoyed many of the Edge of Tomorrow stories last night; YAY for Rita Vrataski, who is the best.
And my story has pleased my recipient and a few other readers, which is always happymaking. Alas, I didn't manage to get any treats done as another couple of Dragon Age stories are eating my brain, but oh well, that happy urgent writing buzz is the best. \o/
Anyone who wants to guess which story I wrote is welcome to play the game and hit me with a prompt if you win, although to be honest I can make no firm promises about getting it written right now because ha ha ha ha deadline D: and Dragon Age :D. Hints... hm. I have written the fandom before, but never the pairing. That may be too much of a hint? IDK, I find this game totally impossible from the other side, but someone always seem to find me and my semicolons.
In other news, to cap off her December of endless presents (birthday, Hanukkah, Xmas), Hypatia got a castle last night. This now represents the second castle in her possession, so clearly there are warring kingdoms in our future, and also less open floor space. I don't think my family want to accept that I live in an NYC apartment and Hypatia's bedroom has approximately 5 square inches not spoken for and therefore they need to moderate their ambitions when it comes to present scale.
She also got a host of awesome figures, which have so far been named Deanna, Danuel/Sword, Ilove, Princess Zosia, Leaf, King Fraca, Maleficent (a black dragon), Good (a green dragon), Prince/Wonderful (King Fraca's horse), Corn/Amulet (Leaf's deer unicorn), and Beautiful/Bumblebee (Deanna/Ilove's horse). (The names move from character to character sometimes.) There were several missions to save the Christmas tree and/or kidnapped characters from the bad guys. Then there was duck for dinner. It has been a happy day. :)
