Dear Yuletide Author

So first of all, just about everything here and in my requests goes out the window if you have a different story idea that has you wildly excited. If you came up with some private dream idea for one of these fandoms as you put it into your offers, the story you wished someone would ask you to write, consider that my request! If you are excited to write it, then I bet I will love reading it. That goes even if you would need to leave out one of my requested characters: consider this me putting it in writing that you can do so.
My only caveats are a few squicks: gore, character-bashing, and noncon -- dubcon though is totally fine, as long as I the reader can get from the narrative that the characters are enjoying themselves. (I love the aliens-made-them-do-it trope when it leads to acknowledgement of TRUE LOVE. :D)
I love AUs, fusions, throwing magic into a non-magical setting, giving characters powers they didn't have, etc -- changing the rules of their universe and seeing how they act. I don't generally enjoy de-powering AUs, though, or ones that put characters into a mundane setting, but as noted above, if you are on fire with an idea, go for it!
I am generally ship-driven, and first-times with payoff are my sweet spot for stories. If you are up for shipping, feel free to go as explicit as you like or tastefully fade to black. That said, I don't request anything for Yuletide unless I'm also going to be happy with gen for it as well, so don't worry that you'll be disappointing me if you can't go there with the characters I've requested.
My original request is in italics, what I'm adding here are more specific story ideas for inspiration in case you want a more concrete prompt than in my signup. :)
Twin Peaks: Audrey Horne, Dale Cooper
I remain unendingly frustrated that the show never consummated their relationship, but adore Cooper's honorable reluctance, Audrey's determined pursuit, and the UST it did give us. I'd love anything from gen adventure to a single tense moment that either does or doesn't take them over the line.
I'd be completely fine with stories set during the run, afterwards, that disregard the ending or their other love interests, etc, and also would be totally into other kinds of AU or fusion -- Sentinel/Guide AU? Black Jewels fusion? Post-apocalyptic? (If you want to go that route, feel free to use whatever AU you want, I only ask that you keep the fantastical/supernatural element of Twin Peaks -- no barista AU for me, please!
A more specific idea: take that scene where Cooper finds Audrey in his bedroom and refuses her, and have something happen (maybe they're sent into the red room, maybe the hotel catches fire, etc) and they end up struggling through the experience together (and then end up in bed if you are up for it!)
Wiseguy: Sonny Steelgrave, Vince Terranova
This relationship is at once terrible and wonderful. I love that they truly like and ultimately love each other, despite all the reasons they shouldn't, and the way that traps Vinnie between two choices of betrayal and what that does to him.
I would love slash here, but would also adore anything that gives me gen intimacy and friendship (with all the associated agony on Vinnie's side). As in my first prompt, I'm all for any kind of AU or fusion you want to go with. Because the show gives us the consequences of Vinnie choosing to do his job and betray Sonny, I'm generally more interested in seeing what happens if he makes the other choice, but I'd also love a story before the showdown at the Rialto, just another adventure the two of them have together.
More specific prompt: Sonny has to go abroad to set up some kind of connection. He takes Vinnie along. It goes sour and they end up on the run and hunted together, away from all of their mutual support systems.
Or, a quote: "If I had to choose between betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country." (EM Forster)
Belgariad/Malloreon: Garion, Zakath
Their relationship is my favorite, and of it my single favorite moment in the entire series is the one where Garion gets fed up being held prisoner by Zakath, yells he'll use his sword for a key, and blows a giant hole in the wall of Zakath's palace.
I'd be delighted with slash, with one qualifier: please no bashing of the women in their lives! Feel free to just ignore the issue and I can headwank it, or if you want to throw Ce'Nedra and/or Cyradis in and make a three/foursome that's just fine by me, have them scandalize Garion and want to watch ;), or they can just be fine with the two of them having it on.
But slash or gen, give me more of them bickering and bantering, either during or after the series and I'll be happy!
Specific idea: something riffing on that particular scene I mentioned above, with Zakath recognizing Garion's (truly horrifying) power, and perhaps finding it both attractive and something that requires a coldblooded way to manage it.
Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie: Captain Hook, Wendy Darling
I love Captain Hook and Wendy both heaps and heaps (and Peter always annoyed me massively, cough). I'd like something where Wendy and Hook interact and have some kind of adventure together, mostly or wholly without Peter, either as worthy antagonists or reluctant allies in some way.
If you set it during Wendy's time in Neverland, I do ask please nothing underage and explicit, on a sliding scale -- that is, if you make Wendy an older teen on the cusp of womanhood, I'm happy to have her be attracted to Hook and have awkward complicated feelings, and for him to toy with her, but not much more than that, and still less the younger Wendy is. If you AU it and do an older Wendy who's already grown up, which I'm all for, then as explicit as you like.
I'd also be delighted with reinvention like a fairytale retelling or the kind of thing OUAT does -- reinterpret Hook and Wendy and Pan and Neverland entirely, throw it into the modern day or some other fictional universe/historical period, etc.
A specific idea: I'd love to see a grown-up Wendy post-Neverland, having mostly forgotten about magic, perhaps on the verge of making a "good" marriage, and meeting Hook again -- either the real Hook, who turns out not so dead after all, or a man who looks just like him (or something in between where she doesn't know whether it's really him or not would also be neat). And he brings magic back into her life.
And finally and most of all, please have fun writing it! \yuletide/
