I Voted!

One hour wait here on the upper west side, at 11:50am! Crazy! (It was also an hour at 8:15am, so I came back later sans Hypatia.) I don't have a sense how it compares to usual because four years ago I voted absentee and worked in PA, but people were saying it was NOT typical at this time of day. Fellow USians please don't forget to vote! Find Read more... )

The idea of your showing Hypatia how to vote is exceedingly adorable.

i do believe we're going to get record turnout for this election. things are SO heated, especially with the addition of social media (even more so than the last election). I do hope people vote smart, and not spite. Mom and I are about 49.99999999999% serious about moving to Canada dependent upon the outcome. :P

I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. I couldn't believe it. I stood in line for over two hours last time, at a comparable time of day. New polling location = WIN.

Now the impatient waiting commences. *hunkers down for the night*

Living in the UK I find it hard to believe that you have to queue to vote, I have never had to wait to vote in my life. During the last election there was an outcry when "1,200 people, in 16 constituencies, were denied the chance to vote in the 2010 general election" ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20206879 ).

Good luck to us all and may the best candidate win.
