I didn't watch AI, I saw the primer post somewhere or the other and was like huh, kinda cute, I can see this being awesome but y'know, don't really do RPS* etc

This comment may bring with it a sense of déjà vu, astolat, and you would not be wrong if that were the case.

Because here I am, commenting on an entry for a piece of fiction that is not the story I'm reading. That second story is, of course, Old Country.

I don't know why I'm re-reading this at this precise point in the proceedings, but I foresee another slew of comments like the last time I read this, and a morning of leaving you random tidbits of your own work quoted back at you, starting with Sam looked down at it over his shoulder. "Okay, that's weird," he said, under-fucking-statement of the year.

I think you know I love your writing; there are so many things about it that have stuck with me for years (I swear to you that The Duke's Reward is like the slash equivalent of that pizza place your parents took you to as a child, the smell and sights and sounds of which you can still remember as if it were yesterday). I love Crown of the Summer Court with a love surpassing most things, and I use the phrase "beautiful lifetime event" more ( ... )
