I love this story! I have only the vaguest idea of who these people are (X-factor contenders? winners? some sort of American equivalent to Pop Idol?) but who cares, I read and loved. My favourite line, and I don't know why, was 'he burst into tears'. It is a cheesy and absurd line, and it comes out of nowhere (or for me it came out of nowhere: who knows? perhaps this is all total canon???), and I loved it. *squee*
