We're really channeling the same Plot Ideas channel, here. I had thought of an End of the World story for Sonny and Vinnie (you're right, it's one of the only ways for them to be happy). Of course, I wasn't going to write it. I'm glad you did.

That was great! I, too, have never seen the movie, but the premise is fun to mess with. Also, I love how Sonny was just so...Sonny! I can see him going along, just organizing and taking care of things until one day, he and Vinnie look up and realize, "Whoops! We're ruling an entire country!" And then...the world~!
