It's done.
after hours of mad screencapping and torturing Paint Shop pro I finally present:
My first mood theme! (and surprisingly it's not a Doctor Who one, no, but perhaps the only All Creature Great and Small mood theme you've ever seen *g* are there others? link plz?)
and it only took me a few months!

it's not even a particularly stylish or complicated mood theme, not even animated. But the amount of time some 133 images can consume is insane. Originally I wanted a particular colour scheme, but then I thought, I'd rather make one that I can use on as many backgrounds as possibly, so halfway through editing I started anew, draining colour and contrast...

What do you mean, where are the other characters? I was of the impression that this was the "Siegfried and Tristan Show"? :-p
Now I only need the time to install it.
this was an experiment and I'm glad it's over (whoah, this sounds wrong! XD). It'll be another few months before - if ever - I make another one. (well, I always wanted to have an A-Team/Murdock one hmm...)

Alas, these are only the images. In order to install the mood theme you have to upload each mood to your own server, or a free image hoster (like photobucket), then "create a new mood theme" on LJ and copy the links for every mood into the LJ-tool. It's a tedious job, but that's the usual way.
you'll also need to know the measurements from each picture (i recommend not changing anything) which is 100x55 pixels for each of them.
