One of the reasons why Campion is so amazing and makes me insanely happy: It's got Peter Davison on a horse! (and it's not even an ordinary horse. It's a beautiful, vicious, black, man-eating killer horse XD)
If you know me I have this fetish thing for guys on a horse (well, if you didn't know already you know about it now). Something about it immediately makes a man more attractive to me. I don't know why, I don't want to know, it just is. It looks good. It's the same way any movies are greatly improved in my eyes if there's horses in them. (Ergo: seeing actors I like in movies/shows I like on horseback makes me very happy indeed.) ^_^
err, okay: so, thing is, the badguys need to get rid of Campion and decide to just throw him in with that horse that is known to kill people. Our hero escapes - of course - but later needs transport to go after the big bad and the only means of transportation in sight is "Bitter Aloes", the killer horse. The friendly gypsy neighbour promises he managed to calm the horse down enough to be safely ridden, but Campion is still skeptical:
(actual dialogue from the show)
"You fixed him not to kill me?!"
- "He'll kill no one for [pause] two hours."
XD
And so Campion gallops off into the sunset to safe the day:
No that's not Peter on a horse yet. It's the same stunt guy they doubled him with on Doctor Who (Black Orchid audio commentary ftw! :-p)
THIS is Peter on a horse:
What's he looking at?
Camelot!
Camelot!
It's only a model!
XD (Sorry. couldn't resist.)
Let's have Peter on a horse again:
yay! :)
*heroic pose is heroic dorky*
Oh and you know you watch too much Doctor Who when this exchange
"He isn't as dumb as he pretends"
- "nobody could be that dumb."
(the badguys talking about Campion)
immediately brings to mind the dialogue from City of Death
"My dear, I don't think he's as stupid as he seems. "
- "My dear, nobody could be as stupid as he seems."
(the badguys about the Doctor.)
Even the set-up is quite similar XD
Um, enough fangirling for today.
*waves*
