I don't want Drinkwater to be a cop in my hometown to be honest.
Don't worry...you obviously only have cops that are bright and perfectly mentally stable...at least if Tatort is to be believed.

O_o ... well, ... at least we haven't got Til Schweiger.

I hope you appreciate the lengths I go in order to entertain you. I rewatched that sequence to gif it. I had nightmares! XD

Don't worry there's still a bit of buffer before the truly horrendous stuff happens. There still is horrendous stuff in the next one though.

But Mr. Drinkwater, however worthy and well-funded, is rather stout. I do not believe that excess weight is becoming to an officer, do you?”

Careful, Adrian, I know a nice man called Jack Aubrey who could lay you flat.
(Is it accepted fanon that Bracey is well-connected/rich? Because surely if he was, he'd have got a command of his own years ago. *shrug* Anyway...)

I spluttered out loud at that Pervert Alert gif. It's so perfect for every cheesy single entendre that Adrian comes out with. The author could've at least tried to create a genuinely bad, brutal villain... but apparently cheesy panto pirates are the order of the day. Complete with the inept henchmen, which no bad villain can do without.

And that Three Musketeers gif is... something else! :O

Not that I'm aware off. Since this book assumes that naval officers are rich and have access to their prize funds any time any day I assume we're to believe that he's rich because of his higher rank?

"Single entendre" is such a perfectly apt description for Adrian's lines. It just makes you cringe every single time he opens his mouth.
