What? An Update?
Oh, yes. I'm at school, and I'm updating for the first time in forever and a half.
Mrs. Krafka found the Multiple percussion piece that I need for districts. Nobody could find it because it's out of print. Yeah. Good move on their part.
I've been taking marimba lessons up at umass dartmouth with this guy jason. He's cool. Wicked funny sometimes. And our lessons always go over because we keep talking about band and stuff. I'm a dork. But yeah anyway he wants me to be one of the marimba accompianists for his recital. Which is cool I guess. Means I don't suck. :) w00t.
Oh, boy. Auditions can bite me. I don't even have pieces picked out and I e-mailed the head of the department and asked if playing a field show would work. I really hope it will because I seriously just want to go, audition, and be in.
FYI: As long as I pass my audition, I'm going to UMass Dartmouth. Hopefully I'll be helping out in the pit next year, Mr. Beach asked me to, but I'm not sure how the car thing//getting a ride back will work out. I probably won't be able to make it to every practice, but hopefully I can make it quite a bit.
And, on that note -- Band. Marching band is ending. This is the last week of Marching Band EVER for me. UMass D doesn't have one, and, anyway, it could never compare to Feehan. Every time I think about how it's just about over, I kind of want to cry.
Only 2 more practices and one more competition ever.
Yeah.
Maybe another entry after school while I wait for my sister, but the lunch bell just rang and I wasted my entire free period doing very little. Oh well.
