All these people freaking out (mostly on CNN, since that's where I see it) about this whole Wikileaks thing being treason amuse me. How is it treason? It's a non-American posting stuff on (now) non-American servers using non-American ISPs. What part of that qualifies any of it as treason?
Anyway, on a larger scale, I guess I'm sort of of two minds about it. I absolutely understand how politicians and whatnot are upset about the information being out there like this. The info is obviously stolen, of that nobody disagrees. But on the other hand, if they've done stuff that they're afraid of people finding out about, maybe they ought not to have done it in the first place?
The only thing that's clear is that there is no such thing as a fully accountable government anymore.
