Iron Man Review (no spoilers)

It was pretty great. I can't wait for Iron Man two.
Robert Downey Jr. is a lot of fun, the whole cast works, and Jon Favreau uses really cool practical effects (like Tony Stark's pet robotic arm, "Dummy", who he constantly threatens to destroy). When they eventually do switch to CGI, it looks great.
I do wish they were harder on the US military - the film criticizes weapons manufacturers without criticizing the military, which is pretty silly; without the military we wouldn't have weapons manufacturers. The love story is also a little odd, as it's Tony Stark & his assistant - they could have made her character smarter, more independent...but hey, the movie got so much right that I can't really nitpick. Also, they do a cool thing with the love story at the end that fixed it for me.
Also, for nerds, Jarvis is in it.
That's all - I think you'll love it, you should really go see it.
