Interesting. I had a feeling that such was the case (in pretty much every aspect you mentioned). My theory is that you are somehow able to sense the "path" before you. Like being able to see a few steps into the *possible* future. Now, link this with the idea that for every decision we make, some how has the potential to branch off into a different version of the reality you are in. As such, you have a chance to go along with the reality you are in, or intentionally break off into a different one. Perhaps reality is what we make of it - our decisions shape our own personal realities. Then, how do other peoples' decisions affect our reality? Or do we follow a preset - decisions already made, with only your decisions making major changes in your reality?
Er, well, maybe it's just a limited "foresight." Which furthers the question, is there such a thing as fate? One of my theories on a "limited fate" is that there are certain events that one must go through (birth and death, for example), but the decisions made between ceratin "checkpoints" (must-happen events) are left up to us.
after all i've been through i can't say that i can believe in anything such as fate or destiny or whatever. everything that i expected should have happened for the better when it had the chance to change has completely fallen through.
and while i'm at it, i don't believe in karma, either.
Well, I have all sorts of theories, but nothing I "subscribe" to. Just because you expect something to happen, doesn't mean that things will happen that way. Instead of expecting something, you have to make it happen. Ignoring all warnings and gut instincts is going against intuition; just like believing in the "good" of mankind to see things through to a positive outcome. Generally, intuition works towards what's best for a particular person; maybe it's just meant to be a form of luck, rather than "future-sight."
And karma... eh. I don't believe in it, really. That would suggest that there is some higher level of "justice" out there, which there clearly is not.
