so i changed my lj around to make it look all advent children-ish and went along with my favorite color theme. coincidentally, the next day kim decided that she wanted to play ff7 over again and started a new game. I watched for a bit while I set my drafting table up. those U brackets finally came in and didn't cost me anything, so that was cool. props to gary for that? and then later before i went to bed, i talked online with carolyn for like, an hour or so about advent children, ff7, and the new game about vincent valentine, "dirge of cerberus". she's gonna burn me a copy of the advent children soundtrack. she's awesome. i'm psyched :D
SO... i got my bed delivered by jordan's... went to the dentist.. got my drafting table set up.. played some DDR... the only thing missing is the artwork :P Everyone around me is doing artistic stuff and i'm just stuck in the rut of full-time job/baby watching/sleep. there was a lady who came into charrette today who had a canvas with her, and it was a painting of a couple owls in an old tree. it reminded me so much of what i want to try to do with the canvas, it's not even funny. and then nate told me that he found some acrylics at his apartment. i swear there are signs everywhere telling me to paint but i just can't get there yet.
i had a really hillarious time with lindsay today. she was just in the happiest mood i've seen. she's starting to mimic things that people say and do, and i was dancing to the beat with her in the car on the way back home. i burped to see what reaction she'd have (yeah, real lady-like) and she burst out laughing, then tried to make the same noise. it ended up sounding more like she was being possessed by the devil, but it was funny nonetheless. later on i sneezed and was struck with laughter after she immitated my sneezing. we went through a lengthy pirate ARRRRing and made faces at each other in the mirror for a good 10 minutes. she had a good time with that one. then there was the tickle tortures and the playful wrestling, and we built towers out of blocks together :) she helped break them down, of course, but also helped to put them away back in the bag. i drew her a picture of aster crow, which she attempted to color over and then danced on top of. i wasn't too sure if i should take that as a compliment or an insult, but she seemed pleased about it anyway. i tried to get her to say "aster crow" but she still needs a little work on that one. she loves to say "doggie" and "car" and other things like "where is it?", "here you go", "oh no!", "color", "mommy", "baby" and tonight she said "bye grammy" to my mom as we headed downstairs to bed. tonight was a very good night :)
