0. Work changed my hours so I work one more day in the rotation but do 3 x 8 hour days instead of 2 x 12 hr days plus my nights. That means I am able to pick the girls up from school and be more available for them, plus get better sleep and be more human when I'm on shift. I love my new hours. It's only on trial until the end of the month, but I'm praying they let me keep them.

1. I went to see the specialist and have started the process to make my nose function like other peoples noses do. Was on drugs for a while that made me fat (no Mum, I'm not pregnant, but thanks for asking), but made me able to breathe so that was good. I now live a life where most days I am functional before noon. Which is novel. It's been years since I haven't woken up most days sneezing for at least 3 hours.

2. Took 2 weeks off work to rest to get well. Worked like a dog. Ah well, I imagine in some other parallel world there is an Aste that sits around on the couch all day doing nothing, on order to balance out the Aste of this world. How does one stop and relax? Is there an instruction book? I only stop really when I fall asleep in front of the fire on the floor.

3. Time off meant I had some extra time with my horse. I took Star up to the local indoor arena a couple of times. I love it. I want one. Better buy that tatts ticket. But have had the time and space to do a bit more work with him. We had a kick arse lesson the other day where our instructor worked us hard, but we learnt heaps. Star is now being ridden only in a halter (he hates the bridle) and his Natural Horsemanship groundwork is coming along beautifully. Minerva my young horse is coming along nicely too. I'm planning on alternating the arena sessions with Min and Star once we get a routine going.

3a. I went to a hoof trimming workshop. It was really interesting and inspiring. I now have the gear and knowledge to confidently maintain my hores feet... but haven't picked up a hoof since. *sigh*

4. The girls got transferred to a different scout group. I know it doesn't sound like much, but they are just blooming under the tutalage and care in the new group. The old group were good but a bit disfunctional and one of the old fellas gave me the creeps. But the new group is tops. CE dished out all his old scout badges and the girls are looking forward to making scout blankets.

5. I sorted out the girls rooms! Trust me it's a achivement. 6 bags of clothes came out of Little Spices room and are stored in the garage for passing on. 4 bags went to the salvos. Little Spices room is now reconfigured in a more pleasing arangement with a bookshelf to store all the crap that used to fall in the gap at the end of her bed.

6. The Bird has decided not to go to Pony club anymore. We encouraged her to consider giving it up as she liked the *idea* of it but was miserable and not interested in learning to ride her pony properly. She used to ocilate between "I love this it's awesome Mum, look what I can do" and "He won't listen to me so I'm going to give up, drop the reins and squeal" with added tears. Just too stressful for all of us really. She participated in the Zones for cross country running and came 13th out of 46 (which is fantastic) so we are going to find her a cross country running club instead for over winter and Little Athletics for the Summer. We now have to sell the amazing super-pony we bought her. It's hard, he's such a sweetie and just great in every way. I wish he was 2 hands taller then CE could ride him.

7. Went to May Crown and had a really lovely time. We went with some mental strategies in place to make sure we enjoyed ourselves which worked extrememly well. Glad we didn't enter, but was great to watch the game. Had a fabulous time visiting with the Sydney mob. Love you guys.

8. The girls and myself went to the dentist and got our teeth fixed up. Again, doesn't sound like much but it was one of those things I've been meaning to do for years and a real acheivement. I can actually use the left side of my jaw now. It's odd how we make adjustments to avoid pain without even noticing them.

9. Finally put on armour and hit my husband! I've been talking about trying it out for years. I liked it. No promises, but I'd like to do it again. But there's always the tricky "will I like it enough to continue vs How much proper armour costs (in time to scroung/build it or money to buy it)" equation that must be overcome by all newbs. And apparently I have expensive taste. I would like a sallet to try but have been told they are rare and expensive. *sigh* We'll see what happens on that front.

10. I have the best husband eva. Just saying. I could write a list of reasons why but I'd be here all day. Love you, Darling. So glad you met me half way 2 years ago. :)

End update. Peace out.
