Almost a real post
Festival was interesting. Fun, comfortable, relaxed, entertaining and good. Much thinking, discussion, pondering, and some decision making was done.
What do I want from the SCA? What can I give and what am I giving in return? What do I expect from my Festival experience? How can I make it better? Why are so many combatants dragging their armour to Festival and then not participating? What do I want to do in my next SCA year?
Most imortantly, how much can the SCA fit into my life? Can it fit? At the moment I'm kind of jamming bits in with a shoehorn, but not really succeeding.
I am not expecting answers for these questions, Dear Reader, just sharing my musings and pondering out loud.
My life is so very full with many things, SCA and otherwise. I spend so much of my time oscilating between, "OMG stop this Merry-go-round right now and let me get OFF!" and "OMG, it's all so awesome, I want it all, I want it all, NOW!"
I'm very excited about Mid-Winter coronation. Have you booked yet?
