If yes, I think you shld check out the flight schedules, see how many lessons u will missed, and then apply leave from the uni. U most prob will be questioned by uni staffs why u wan to take leave at this moment of time. So just give some excuses like there is an yearly major event coming up in Singapore and u really wanted to attend it as a Singaporean (call them racist if they dun agree). Plus you feel abit homesick and LOTS of your fren whom you missed out during ur last visit will be coming to this event as well. Great rare opportunity to meet up with them esp Singapore is so "BIG" to even see them. And the fact tat u are in the dean list will help to show it wun affect ur performance in ur studies.
If ur uni agrees, then just call back to ur parent (out of respect)telling them tat uni has NO issue at all with u coming back for a few days and if possible give a prompt reply cos the flight tix u are booking which allows u to fly back to aussie asap after AFA is selling out fast (to pressurize them so they dun have much time to think)
If all things failed, then just flipped table bah. Say ok, u will go to the concert at Japan instead where they wun even noe or control u going there for 1~2wks plus u will be stay at ur guy fren's hse. lol
Come to think abt it, I shldnt encourage u to come back. So just study hard bah XD
