Crocs are a lightweight, casual shoe designed originally for boating. Known for their casual comfort and bright colors, they continue growing in popularity, with dozens of knock-off brands surfacing on the market all the time. If your Crocs have stretched out over time, and you'd like to shrink them back to the comfortable fit you enjoyed when you first got them, it's relatively easy. Care must be taken not to scorch your Crocs, otherwise you might permanently damage them and find yourself in the market for a new pair.
Does this Spark an idea? Instructions
- 1
Set your clothes dryer on medium to low heat and set the timer for 10 minutes.
- 2
Place your stretched out Crocs in the dryer with two wet towels, and start the cycle. Standby while they are drying to make sure the heat isn't too high. The towels will moisten the material your Crocs are made of, making them more pliable. High heat could scorch and warp your Crocs permanently.
- 3
Check your crocks after three to five minutes in the dryer. If they are hot, remove them.
- 4
Allow them to cool for four to five minutes. Putting them on your feet right out of the dryer could cause painful burns.
- 5
Wear your shrunken Crocs while they are still warm so they cool and fit the shape of your feet comfortably.
Tips & Warnings
You can do this with new Crocs if they are a little big and you want to custom fit them to your feet.
