From LKH's blag:
"SWALLOWING DARKNESS is not, repeat, is not, the last Merry book. I am still under contract for more, for one thing. For another, I still have ideas with the characters and the world. Besides, don’t we all want to see Merry through to the birth of the twins. Unlike some writers, I don’t skip a lot of time in my books, so we’re going to get to see pediatrician appointments, and the whole nine yards of pregnancy. Just because you’re a fairie princess doesn’t mean you get a skip on any of that. Besides, with the interesting genetics of the fathers, I’m kind of curious to see who the twins take after.
So, does that do it? Are we clear? There will be more Merry books, okay? I promise."
I'm happy. I just wish the woman would learn to write. Unfortunately she has no incentive as her fan base is crazy. I am not making the problem worse: I buy all my Anita and Merry books used, thank you!
My favorite part of this entry is the "unlike some writers, I don't skip a lot of time"...as if that's a HORRIBLE thing that other writers are doing and she would NEVER stoop to that level. But crazy orgies are fine and dandy.
I'm so upset that Frost is back. I decided it was much better to have Merry whine about never seeing him again than to have him whining in person about everything. He's the most annoying character, plus Merry has to talk about how she loves Frost and Doyle equally, blah blah blah.
Alright, the plan is to finish Kitty and the Silver Bullet today. And maybe get some cleaning done.
