(no subject)
So Friday night we did in fact play with THE Gat-Rot at Gameworks....
But we were fucked since the beginning...
We were supposed to be at the practice spaces at 5 to jam real quick and get our shit loaded to be at Gameworks by 7:30. Kris shows up at 6:30, after the rest of us had been waiting for sometime... To tell us that the only copy of keys to our practice space are still at his house.. on the far South side of town. So of course I had to drive him back home to retrieve said keys. We get back to Pennington around 7:15 then book it to Gameworks and we arive around 8:15... we get all our of stuff set up before Chris and Kiel realize that they forgot all of their power chords, guitar chords and pedals. It is now 8:50 and we are slated to play at 9. So they go down to the studios yet again to get their stuff and return at approximately 8:40 at which point we should have been wrapping up. Only for Kiel to remember that he forgot to get a new battery for his distortion pedal... Kristin being the saint that she is let us play 3 songs... Kiel had to use his tube distortion in his amp... which is awful. But we played a decent set considering.
Afterwards we tried to have a gathering at my house, which was lackluster at the very least. But I got pretty drunk and so did everyone else. So I guess that could be considered a good time in itself. I apologize to anyone who was at the show, and promise much more for our show on the 28th at the Rialto. Tickets are $5 by the way, and can be purchased from me...

Anyway, see ya there. I'm gonna go down to Versus the Mirror's vocal recording sessions.
