her name was Neda

At the end of my stay-cation I got sick.  That was June 8th.  It is now June 22nd, and said sickness is still there.  WTF??

I can't stop coughing.  I'm taking my nasonex for my allergies, so it cant be that.  Maybe its bronchitis?  Who knows.  I'm kind of getting annoyed with it.  I also woke up this morning with diarrhea.  What next?  The diarrhea had to be an unrelated incident, but who knows.

My running has been suffering as a result.  Since getting sick I've not ran longer than 5 miles at a time, and only a couple times a week.  I really wanted to stick to the Nike marathon training program and its not going off to a good start.
Man, I tell ya...when I get sick its rare, but when I do get sick...I am SICK.  It lasts forever and it like, immobalizes me.  I havent gained any weight or anything though so thats good.

So Jon and Kate have a special announcement to make on their show tonight.  I hope the announcement is that they're stopping the show and going into marriage counseling.  I doubt it though.

Also, I havent talked about politics in a long time, but I think the President is doing the right thing by staying out of the Iran conflict.  Let them handle it.  I feel like we could start another war over this, and we really don't need that.

My curiosity got the better of me because I kept hearing "Neda this, Neda that...."  I was thinking, who was she?  why is everyone talking about her?  I Youtubed it, and I'm glad I did...but not glad I did.  It was SO hard to watch.  I've never really seen someone die before.  After she got shot and the camera rushed over to her, you can see her eyes move to look at the camera while blood is pouring out of her body.  That part really got to me.  She looked scared, but calm...maybe she was just in shock.  The worst part is when blood starts pouring out of her nose and mouth.  It looks like she has bloody tears.  Then her hand drops down on the pavement and you know at that point she must be either dead or fading away.  Her father was by her side though I'm not sure which one he was.  If you haven't seen this video, watch it.

I say watch it because it has made me think so many different things since the day I watched it.  I'm thankful that I am living in America.  I'm thankful that the country I live in has many freedoms that people in other countries dont have.  I wish everyone had those freedoms.  It's also haunting me though.  People die such horrible deaths just like that every single day, and most people (including myself) just change the channel.  You see on CNN the headline "11 More Killed in Iran Today."  All you see is a headline and a number.  This video is so gripping because you actually SEE what one of those people being killed actually went through.  Think about it.  I almost wish the news wasnt so censored so people would actually see what's going on over there.  It's probably worse than we could ever imagine.

Anyways...stay out of it, Obama.  I know how you'd want to get involved just by seeing that video of a girl named Neda getting killed during a peaceful protest.  You dont want any more Neda's dying on your watch.  But it's not our fight to fight.  Stay out of it.
