The RL weekend
It almost feels like I had no weekend, we did so much on Saturday. It was a glorious summer day and we headed to Dortmund to see my mom. We stopped at the pet store and got more cat litter than you can shake a stick at. Ugh!
Seeing my mom was kinda interesting, because my ex-husband came by as well. He recently did an MBA and had me proofread his thesis. He wanted to say thanks, and he lives closer to Dortmund than to Krefeld, so we met at my mom's. It was really strange, because it was really...good to see him. Amazing. He brought lots of stuff, we ate Tamil rolls with him which are so very very delicious, and just talked a lot. And it's kinda nice that now seven years later, it's good hanging out with him again, as we've both moved past all the shit we had in our relationship. Totally incompatible relationship-wise, but he's a nice guy otherwise. He was really nice to my mom as well, and even Cinna liked him.
After all that, we drove back home, did lots of shopping, got Cinna some artsy stuff, and then flopped on the couch watching Top Chef and The Devil Wears Prada. And it felt great.
