The WoW Weekend

It's been a busy weekend. I don't think I could ever be in a raiding guild because running instances three nights a week is busy enough for me.

Friday we ran Sethekk Halls. Again. And we will again, because the Trousers of Oblivion just won't drop. But we'll get them. I could do this instance blindly now, all pulls are so familiar. Still, we always seem to wipe at least once on Ikiss. But it's all good, we know how to beat him. I got the mace I wanted from him, so that was nice.

Saturday, we did a morning PUG of Sethekk Halls. Pretty good rogue and a priest that just didn't inspire confidence in me as pick-ups. The rogue did his 30th try to get the Assassination Shoulders, but they just won't drop for him. I think we're in the same boat with him. The priest didn't seem to understand the Ikiss fight at all. The first wipe she 'forgot' about his Arcane Explosion, the second fight she still didn't move. She topped it off by popping the soulstone in the middle of an Arcane Explosion. Duh. We killed him without her. As reward, she got the Hallowed Pants Ikiss dropped. The world's not fair.

Saturday night, I had scheduled Onyxia attunement for the guild. I took a couple of guildies into LBRS to kill the three bosses for Warlord's Command, while another group 4-manned UBRS and went all Leeeeeeeeroy to get dragon eyes. Once we were done with Warlord's Command, people went to turn in the quest, got the follow-up to kill Rend in UBRS and we joined the UBRS group to finish our eyes and Rend. This means that for our next raid time (we do casual raiding of old content once a month) we can finish getting eyes for the rest, the people who have eyes can kill the dragons and we can kill Drakkisath to finish Onyxia attunement for a lot of people. That's cool. :)

On Sunday, Q wanted to try Sethekk Halls again, but was only able to go with a PUG that just didn't work at all. There was no slot for me, so I just bummed around, while she probably had her worst Sethekk Halls run ever, and no pants. Right after that, it was guild run time, venturing into the Steamvault. Very short instance compared to the nightmare that is Shadow Labyrinth. We wiped once on the first boss, switched strategies, killed her. Nice caster ring dropped, but I lost the roll. Second boss was a PITA, we wiped twice, as we couldn't get the adds under control without dying in the process. Third try was the charm. Stupid gnomes. Then for the final boss, the first two tries were disastrous, we didn't get a single tank down before he buffed himself. We had to go repair, and then tried again. I swear, my adrenaline went through the roof, it was super-exciting. We managed to get every single tank down, even when the mage went OOM. Go, super-warlock powers and Life Tap FTW!

He dropped the hunter shoulders (sorry, Koup!) and a paladin ring, so boo on that, but beating him was cool. Not sure what we're going to try next week, either Mechanar or Shadow Labyrinth again. And of course numerous Sethekk Halls runs, you know. Hey Kouprey, how's your work schedule looking for next week?

We actually went to Sethekk Halls right after Steamvault, pugging a rogue and a shadow priest. I think this was the fastest run ever, and the first time we killed Ikiss on the first try. Still, no luck for Cinna.
