[ooc: continued from here]

I have an idea of a vague estimate -- [gives vague estimate here], but that is only an estimate. The population was higher before the wars, obviously.

I see. Is your Empire without allies?

We never had a need for them. Currently, however, I suppose the Vatican could, at least in part, be considered an ally.

In part?

The Vatican is a large entity. There are sections within who work with us towards diplomacy, and other sections who still wish to remove Methuselah from existence.

These sections -- are they at open odds? Or is actual conflict kept minimal?

Their capacities and specialities are different -- the militaristic portion is at odds with the diplomatic portion, for instance, because both sides believe their methods are correct.

I see. Tell me, then, of your military's strengths.

Our greatest strength begins with the fact that our military are Methuselah -- each soldier is ten times as strong as any Terran. We are also faster and possess enhanced senses. With a lifespan of over three hundred years, our military also has the benefit of lengthy strategic training and experience.

Yours is an infantry-based military, then. And the Terran?

astalavampire November 18 2007, 18:04:39 UTC
Infantry-based as well. And in your world?

[I think.]

Britannia's military strength is in its mobile weaponry and as such, Knightmares and their pilots are at the centre of most military operations.

[m-maybe. ONE DAY THIS SUBJECT WILL BE EASY.]

[HURRAY FOR EDUCATED GUESSES]

...A "Knightmare"? What is that?

What? You have heard nothing of them from Lelouch or Kururugi? Hmn. They are large, humanoid weapons operated by one or more pilots. The residents here have taken to calling them "giant robots", though this term is not exclusive to Knightmares.

No, I had not heard the term before -- Suzaku has only told me he's in the military, but speaks very little of the specifics. Likewise, Lelouch hasn't told me very much about your world. You've actually told me more about your world than both of them combined.

However, I confess they sound quite fascinating.

Have I?

Are you familiar with the ZAFT base?
