A Lupine Mystery!

Apr 15, 2010 01:05

So I participated in an interview/survey about Pagans in Appalachia about a month ago. My interview was recorded on an audio tape, but the interviewer still took written notes (it was amazing to watch, really. I've never seen anybody write THAT much, THAT fast! o.o). Thank goodness she did, because when she went back to transcribe mine, she got a few minutes into it and decided to stop. Perhaps to go to bed for that night. When she went back in the morning and hit the playback to go over what she'd written down for mine so far, the tape had mysteriously erased itself and was replaced with what she said sounded like wolf sounds instead.

Part of my answer involved me being a wolf Therian, so I think this spooked her a little, haha!

She sent me an e-mail today (well, technically yesterday since it's past midnight now :P) about the incident, and I'll leave it here for you to read yourselves:

Tara!
I hope the end of the semester is going smoothly for you and that you're able to get out and enjoy all this wonderful weather we're having. I don't know if you've heard from anyone, but your tape was mysteriously erased while in the recorder, in the middle of my transcribing it. I just came back the next morning and all I could hear were what actually sounded like wolf sounds or something. So, I thought you would find that interesting. Here I'm attaching a rough rough rough draft of the paper that has resulted from this research thus far.
