Today is awesome because I finished my math project! Today is also awesome because of this icon. Also awesome because I watched both "Adrift" and "Fragments" today (just finished "Fragments" actually). They were both bloody brilliant. I think I'm maybe starting to like Gwen? Maybe. But if John Barrowman, Burn Goodman, and Naoko Mori all actually leave, I don't think she's going to be enough to support the show. I'm sorry, I said it. I think she (Eve Myles) is a lovely woman (visually stunning, a good actress, seems nice) but I don't think Gwen has been written well enough to carry the show after such a devastating loss. She's the 'human connection.' Great. Big whoop. But she's apparently losing that, so I don't know what role she'll have in post-finale Torchwood (if the spoilers are true, which I really hope they aren't. *crosses fingers*). Honestly, Ianto is more qualified to lead Torchwood than Gwen is (that would actually be awesome). Meh. I just really want to see what happens. DAMN YOU TWO WEEK WAIT! DAMN YOU!
Today is also awesome because of the OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE FOR DOCTOR WHO SERIES FOUR!! (April 5, 2008 by the way)
Yes, I know it's been announced for what, a week? Ish? BUT STILL. I AM ABSURDLY EXCITED. I only hope I'll be able to watch the episodes vaguely soon after their air date. I've never been a 'part' (and yes, I use that term loosely) of the DW fandom while there have been new episodes (except for "Voyage of the Damned" but still. That came at a point where my love of all things Who was sadly lacking) and I really, really want to see what it's like.
