my life has become a boring pop song and everyone is singing along

No analysis for this one. Too tired, even though I've pretty much been doing nothing all day - blowing off studying for Asia, you know how it is. It's pretty. That's really why I chose it. Yay for deep reasons. Yay.

Today is awesome because I'm apparently supposed to take off my braces tomorrow (I figured out what was wrong with them for the past two days: I was making them so tight I cut off almost all circulation to my left hand, thus resulting in the excruciating pain). I mean, I'm skiing for the next week (oh yeah, did I mention that? An entire week I won't post. Thought I should give you a heads up.) and will have to wear them, but my mum basically told me that if I didn't start using them, the muscles would die. And that would be bad. As in, really, really bad. So yay! I get to fend of questions galore! Or, worse than that, no one notices. That would suck.

But anyway. I've started reading Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult (author of My Sister's Keeper if that rings any bells). I've been using it as a procrastination device and, honestly, it's well worth it. I'm quite enjoying it; I'm only about a fourth of the way through (I'm at about 179 and it ends at 403), but it really is good. Yes, I have been reading for almost three hours straight. Shh. Don't tell anyone. I think it's because my eyes are tired. But it is good. Very much so. I'll probably check out her other books from DS and/or Bedford (because I'm going to the library for the first time in ages to get audio books for the 4 hour drive to Smuggs! Yay!) to read while I'm skiing. Because my parents will be working and my brother will be in his room watching TV and I'll have little to nothing to do except get fat off of Ben & Jerry's. Which, to be completely honest, doesn't sound too bad. Or my brother and I could become "the social butterflies of Smuggler's Notch," but I don't think that's very likely.

Oh, speaking of things I should have told you guys, I got a last.fm the other day. It really is exactly like pandora isn't it? I'm not sure which I prefer more - pandora loads faster and holds data, but I really haven't explored last.fm much. Pandora does have the nice bonus that you can pause the damn music instead of just stopping it flat in its tracks so you can't pick up the same song. Weird. I'm here by the way.

Eh, should probably study now. Ta!
