I have to email my AP English Language teacher letting him know that I won't be able to complete the homework BEFORE SCHOOL EVEN STARTS.
I feel like such a failure.
This is honestly the first time that I'm going to have to ask for an extension without a medical reason, and it's for fucking AP English Language, which I'm supposed to be good at, and about which I actually care.
Plus, I suck at writing emails. Look at this shit.
NAME OF TEACHER,
I only learned that I was in your AP English Language class on the 18th of this month (or some time around that date; I didn't exactly mark it on my calendar) because my class list was lost in the mail or something. As soon as I found out, my dad ordered the summer reading book (Encounters with the Archdruid) online, which now seems like a completely idiotic decision, as it hasn't arrived yet, and we have no idea when it will get here, but he did it, and so it doesn't make any sense to go out and buy another copy when we have one that's supposed to be coming. That sentence was not the most streamlined and eloquent sentence ever, and for that I apologize. Basically, I don't have the book yet, I have no idea when it will arrive, so I am forced to predict that I will be unable to read it before school starts and will therefore be hard-pressed to have the essay done by the seventh. Of course, as soon as it arrives, I will read it as quickly as humanly possible and make the essay my top priority, but there doesn't seem to be anything that I can do as of right now.
I just wanted to let you know that I may be unable to complete the summer assignment on time, about which I feel absolutely wretched, by the way. Anyway, I am really looking forward to the class and will get you that essay as soon as I possibly can.
