I think I've discovered the absolute worst thing to do for a day:
Sit in front of your computer watching as much of Doctor Who: Season Two as possible and, while the episodes are loading, listen to Hello Beautiful by the Jonas Brothers and answer questions on The Good Earth. Oh, and think about how your best friend was talking about how Guardacil could kill you. That is especially bad when you have your second injection on Tuesday - the first day of school.
Composing angsty post-Doomsday ficlets in your mind hardly helps either.
Ooh! One thing I realized after watching Tooth & Claw:
Queen Victoria murdered Rose Tyler.
NOT ON YOUR MAJESTY! I AM NOT AMUSED!
(She created Torchwood Institute, Torchwood brought the ghosts over, the ghosts ripped apart the void, the Doctor and Rose had to fix it to save the world, Rose slipped, Pete saved her from the void, and KABOOM. The Rose Tyler we know and love is essentially dead. I know that Rose is technically alive - Ten said it himself - but I can't shake the image of Rose at the beginning or either Doomsday or Army of Ghosts at Bad Wolf Bay saying 'And this is the story of how I died.')
All from The Runaway Bride.
Alright, so the last one's not sad so much as sadly hopeful. But that's where he's remembering Rose.
God I miss Rose.
