Liar Liar, Pants On Fire
OK, so I lied. Sue me.
I haven't had the time to make my massive graphics post yet as I am currently at a 'Killer Web Design' camp where all we do is basically free play. Joy. And at home I'm downloading the episode of Doctor Who I missed - Gridlock - and that's taking a really, really long time. But that's ok because it will totally be worth it.
Important things I've learnt today:
1) I can't draw pinwheels on GIMP. It's evil and difficult and should die. Perhaps I shouldn't make my website around the premise of 'Scribbled Pinwheels'... Nah. I'll figure it out. (First try is here if you're interested and/or want to mock.)\
2) Never, ever meet your heros. For a few weeks now, my hero has been whoever invented Photoshop because, to me, Photoshop sounded perfect and lovely and all that jazz. As far as I can tell from having access to Photoshop for over two and a half hours, it's not all that great. I mean it might be but the thing is I can't use it well and it's really just annoying me now. So I got my 'instructor' to download GIMP. Much easier. I'll figure out Photoshop tomorrow. Or something. At least this has saved me about $400! Yay dashed hopes and dreams! Yay!
